Downpipe qustions

should i go wih a downpipe or a header...if downpipe...which should i got with?.....i heard that the downpipes are the most restrictive things on our cars....so i guess ill go with that...and also is there any difference in sound when you change these out?.....im assuming all the dp's made for our cars right now are direct swaps for the stock...no fitment issues im guessing?

cobalt addiction sells a downpipe, you can get one with or without a cat. just look around the supporting vendors and look for a good name and you should be good.

downpipes are "restrictive" to light off the cat for emissions. cobalts are very sensitive for that, so if you toss one on, you are prolly going to get CELs, no matter which brand you choose.... a good tuner can prolly handle that.

All Cobalt exhaust systems are completely interchangeable. The only exhaust part sold that creates a problem is the pacesetter long tube header that requires a custom downpipe.
