I am planning on buying a random orbit buffer in the next day or two since I have never used one. My question is what kind of bonnet or whatever you call it should I use? I am mainly buying it to use for polishing. The only kinds of bonnets that I have found so far are Microfiber ones and Terry Cloth I believe. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated since I want my car to look great :guns:

That^^^^ helps a little but I need to know what kind of bonnets to get?
Foam is a prefered material for polishing/applying product but I dont know if they make a bonnet to fit an orbital in foam. Im used to a DA polisher and pad setup. As it stands now though I would say use the terry for polishing and a microfiber for buffing.

you arent going to do a whole lot of "buffing" with an orbital, in order to properly buff you will want a good quality rotary polisher (i.e. - Millwaukee, DeWalt, Makita). I only use orbitals to apply wax. When I was a detailing noob i bought an orbital to buff and it didnt do anything, I was eventully able to work the polish in, but it took forever.
