Laser and Arrival Blue
Laser and Arrival Blue
New poster here. I was just wondering if theres still a chance to order an ss/sc arrival blue cobalt. Im headed to the dealer to pre-order an 06. Personnaly im not too fond of the Laser but really love the arrival (if i can't get arrival, it'll be black or red). When i went to the dealership last week, on their inventory they only had laser, black, red, yellow and orange on the screen. I just wanted to know if there's a special way of gettin these 06 arrivals because the dealer doesn't have that much information on them. Thanks in advance.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the answer is no. Production ended in August of Arrival Blue, and the new Laser Blue begins very soon. I am upset over this too, as I tried to get an Arrival Blue SS-SC, but I have changed my order now.
By the way, welcome to the forum!

(I guess as it turns out, my car is one of the more rare Cobalts out there... since 2006 Cobalt SS-SC Arrival Blue were only 'possible' to get during about a 2month span of time)
I suppose (if you have the extra cash laying around
To me the Laser Blue is a fine color.. however it just seems (to me anyway) more feminine than the Arrival Blue.. however.. if I was unable to get mine in Arrival Blue, I probably would have got the Laser Blue before any of the other colors.. as blue in general is my favorite color

In my opinion GM 'should' offer more color options on all their cars.. I mean they have the paint.. is it really some sort of big difficult task to have more than just a handful of color choices for a particular car? I'd think that it would make the customers happier if they had more color choices... I'm sure GM has their reasons though and a huge team of people deciding what colors for which vehicles and why and etc. etc.

Yeah Boomba, it sucks. I was VERY fortinate to get an 2005 SS S/C in Arrival Blue. I live in Toledo, Ohio, and i went to 5 dealerships around town. They only found 2 SS S/C in arrival blue within a 1,500 Mile radius for sale. They called, and 1 was sold 2 months ago, and they had one left. Well lets say i really wanted that car in that color, so i now own the last one ( 2005 ).
Don't mean to hi-jack the thread but I just got back from pre-ordering my SS/SC in "Laser Blue" !!!
I guess from reading the posts on here, not too many people like the "Laser". There are probably people who would buy the "Laser" but I think I'm the only one that likes the "Laser" and would buy it over the "Arrival". I'll be sure to post some pics as soon as I take delivery.

now im stuck deceiding on whether or not to get a red or black. Both I equally like because black would look awesome stock and red would look awesome with a carbon fibre hood. Any suggestions?
I hope the Arrival Blue doesn't have a peel problem. I can't recall ever hearing about it before on the trucks, though. So hopefully we're safe...
On that color choice- red is sharp and easier to take care of (usually), but you can't beat a black car when it's clean. Trouble is it's usually only "clean" for about 3 minutes. I've had 3 black vehicles so I know this all too well!
