turbo questions for you turbo geniuses

ok. so ive searched and searched on this site and havent gotten a definite answer. i just want everything sort of clarified and organized. So i am aware of three companies (two with products out) that have turbos for 2.4. Alpine, Garrett, and Hahn (soon hopefully). I really want to go turbo eventually, but not unless its a sure thing. i read all these posts of people turboing but having major problems and such. So which would be the best way to go. i know alpine is says its for the 2.2 but i have seen it on a 2.4. Somone just clear things up. i just want turbo haha, minus all the hastle, is that possible yet? thanks to anyone who can help a turbo-retarded friend out.

wait. You will absolutely not know which one is the most "hassle-free" until multiple people have each kit and have experience with them. One kit could be the cheapest, but with the best r&d while the other could use some amazing hardware, but not have great r&d and end up melting wires, and having boost leaks all over the place, etc. I know it's hard, but patience is key when it comes to modifying cars. my advice is this. Start all your supporting mods-
-suspension work for traction
-better clutch so you dont have to worry about it later
-work on getting gauges (especially a wideband)
-get some new rubber. You can't do anything safely in this world without some good rubber now a days.
and hey if you have extra money lying around, go to a race school and learn how to drive.

do all these now and your car will just be that much better/reliable/faster when you do go turbo and you will be much happier.

yea we all want instant gratification, but just remember, if you are one of the first guys to buy a kit, you are one step down from a test mule. If you wait it out you can see what the common issues are and compare the options much better. That's why alot of people don't buy the first model year of a car....there are ALWAYS bugs to work out.

mine has been installed since early april and still being problematic, tuning is the real problem but the garrett kit is top notch quality so you dont have to worry about that. just tuning.
