Car Wouldnt Start

Ok so the first time this happend i was at the gas station.. turned my car off, Pumped my Gas and then went to start my car and Nothing.. Everything cam on in my instrument cluster and my radio just my starter wouldnt turn. So after 20 min i try to start it again and it started right up and no problem after that.. i figured it had to do with my gas cap or something..

No Today i went to the car wash and when my car came out the guy went to start it up and nothing.. the same thing again .. everything inthe cluster came on the car just wouldnt start.. so the guy jumped my car and it started right up.

Now i think it's my Battery i dont think it's holding a charge, but i was driving around for a while before that and I am thinking it Maybe my Alterantor..But then again Everything did come on So maybe my Starter.. but my car only has 23k on it...

any ideas ???

-Drew

they wont void your warranty at the dealership for your indash display unless your indash dvd is causing a short.

my 2007 SS?S did the exact thing at a gas station i called the dealer bitching and they towed it in 30 miles to fix it rolled it off the wrecker and it fired right up. This pissed me off they pulled codes and nothign was there. They told me to have a good weekend and I left but I only had 8000 miles then I have 16000 now and so far nothing since has gone wrong. They told me the computer might have messed up and flooded the car out then after it sat a while it was ok to start. I have nothing but bad luck so far out of my car 2 sets of injectors and new headliner new sunroof switch, 6 times for mis fire codes. And next week I dont know what will break yet. The first month I owned it the dealer had the car 16 days. Hope they get it fixed for you.

either way...they won't void your warrenty for a dvd unit...even if it causes a short. they might charge you for the fix though...and take the dvd unit out.

Check battery connections for tightness if you hadnt already.
If you have a meter check to see that you have 12 volt if you only have 10 volts your battery is shorted in 1 cell and needs to be replaced.
Had the same problem with the van wife drove it into the mall and it would not start and had the battery replaced under warranty.

i had the same exact problem with starting it when i first got my car.. it only had 3000 miles on it the first time it happened.. towed to dealer, started up and they said nothing was wrong, but still replaced battery just incase. 3 days later same thing happened.. towed to dealer and luckly this time it did start up for them. they went threw the whole harness and found that alot of the electrical connections were loose. esp the starter connection. everything was done threw the warranty. havent had a problem ever since. try to tighten things up and see what happens..
