grinding gears
grinding gears
I have a problem with my 2.0, my gears are grinding bad, i took it into chevy and they said there fine. Bullshit, long story short, i need help. I thought it might have been that my sync rows (probably not spelled like that) were messed up. If thats the case, what can i do to fix it? Someone had mentioned to me, new tranny fluid or some sort of fluid would help. Anyone have any ideas? throw anything at me im desperate. thanks
is it just when you shift into reverse?
or is it when shifting between gears 1-5?
The first vehicle I had was an old S10 and it
ground reverse all the time. The only way I
could stop it from grinding was if I put it into
1st, then went straight to reverse. If I didn't
have it in gear for a while, then tried reverse
it would grind again.... weird stuff

maybe try another chevy dealership. i was having the same problem a week ago.anytime i tried shifting into 2nd going over 10 mph or downshifting from 3rd pretty much anytime, it would grind.went to the dealership i bought my car at and they said it was fine.so i drove home angry and it def. WAS NOT fine.the next day i went to a chevy dealership closer to my house and had them look at it and they said that my synchronizer for that gear was fucked up so they made a few phone calls and ordered some new parts and they're going to fix it under warranty tomorrow morning.
