Performance has a nice deep tone, not too loud at all
Touring is just a tiny bit louder than stock, and sounds stock

Let's put it this way: if you want a much louder sound, go with the PERFORMANCE.
The TOURING, as said before, is only a little louder than stock.

I bought the touring, honestly expecting it to be louder.
But overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

You are gonna love your car's sound after you put the performance exhaust on. I always give her a little shot when I go in a bridge just to hear that bark.

If I could go back, I would get the sport performance. The touring is a little to soft for me.

Fascinating, because I have the touring on my 2.4 and it isn't just a "bit" louder, it's noticable although it isn't obnoxious. Also it's a lot deeper than stock. If the performance is much louder, it wouldn't suit me at all. But then, I'm an Old Fart

Makes me wonder if I got the Performance by getting the P/N's mixed up?

most of the guys on this thread have the sc version (2.0 thread) so maybe its the differnt engines thats the factor. I have the 2.4 and I am planning on getting the touring for performance gains only.... I dont really like that loud noise either.

Maybe this will help you choose. You can hear the three exhaust sounds
  • Stock
  • Touring
  • Performance

thats the only sounds clip i've heard its just hard to get a real feel for the sound. and other than that, those crappy vids i can barely hear the exhaust up on youtube.

ah well, sure i'll like it. my main concern was it being f'ing stupid loud inside the car when im driving long distance in the HWY.

CED clips are on an auto... I've got the Touring and you can barely hear it when cruising inside the cab - I've got some vids of the Touring on another thread but it looks like you've already made your decision! Its nice to hear the new exhaust though, your mpg will most likely go down for the next couple tanks of gas

I can't tell whether I'm getting gains or whether the sound is giving me a rush...lol
Either way, I'm happy!
Jonel posted a thread where he got 12hp off the Performance exhaust on his SS/SC.
So...there's definitely gains!

As far as I can tell, all the parts are exactly the same except the muffler part.....and you can decide on either tip for them. I think the gain would be equal.

From that sound clip I personally like the Touring sound better. Whenever I finally get my new job and get a SS/SC I think I will go with the Touring.
