VHT Nightshades

Where can I get it? I saw a vendor carried it, but I want to do it this weekend and don't feel like waiting. I went to Autozone, and they don't have it. I went to Wal-Mart last night and didn't see it, but I wasn't "clear-headed" so I may have looked over it. Also, does anyone use this on their side markers? Help!

you can get it at www.modernperformance.com they sell 2 cans for $23 shipped. Summit racing charges $13 + shipping for 1 can Thats were i have always ordered mine from and they have quick delivery. Here is a pic of mine. They are very dark I dont recommend doing the entire reverse light like i did. Its very hard to see when backing up at night cuz not enough light gets thru. Im going to look into some bright LED bulb or even some new lens and redo them leaving the middle stock.

I used about 5 coats of niteshades your recommended to not go over 3 but i did anyways. Then followed it up with 3 coats of clear.

As for the clear, I painted my front emblem this weekend. When I sprayed a coat of clear over it, the black became almost gray. Does anyone know why? Iended up covering that with another coat of black and didn't use the clear again.

If you put too heavy of a coat of clear on when it is slightly humid out the moisture in the air gets trapped between the black and clear and makes is a foggy grayish color.

Yeah, I layed it on thick. And it was raining outside. I'm going to sand the black paint off tonight and try it again.

Did you sand it the 1st time? If you didnt you can just use thinner and it will come off.

No, I didn't sand it the 1st time. The thinner won't remove the chrome edge will it? And wdsoccer, how did you keep the perfect circles in the reverse lights?

i taped it off with painters tape and help it to the sun and got an exacto knife and softlt cut the circle. then i got it and went over it till it was cut through. if you do that make sure you take off the tape then apply the clear coat, or else it might start peeling. mine had very small peices peel off so i clear coated the light and no more problems.
