Little trick with the radio

I'm not sure if anybody knows this yet or not.. I didn't until now. You know if you push the right knob it will show the artist, song, genre, etc. We also know that the radio will constantly show the station name (atleast mine did at first). Well you can change it to constantly show the artist, song name, or genre. All you have to do is hit the button until you get to the info you want to show constantly. Say you want the artist to show on the radio constantly (my choice).. just hit the button until the artist shows up then hold it in until the radio beeps. Now when you change stations the artist name will automatically pop up. I think this comes in handy a lot on XM Radio. Sorry if this is a repost.. just havn't seen it anywhere else yet.

Read it front to back? pffft... no. LOL I do look at it just for quick reference if I need to know something. This radio thing was just something I stumbled upon.

I knew you could push in the button to make it display the song and artist but I didnt know you could set it that way. Thanks for the tip, now when I finally get my car back from warranty work I can try it out.

I don't read it cover to cover either, but you'd think you'd at least browse it and read the radio section. The radio is pretty advanced for a stock radio. Doubt anybody will fully know how it works from intuition alone.

There was also a quick guide or something that I got with the car as well that had a bunch of radio information on it.

I skimmed through the manual and I found nothing in there for the subwoofer like if you wanted to turn it off or something like you can usually do with aftermarket decks and subwoofers.

I guess the moral of this thread is read the manual. There is actually some useful information in it.

I assume you are talking about

adjusting the subwoofer gain? The 04-06 GTO subwoofers have an adjustment knob on the factory subwoofer for more or less gain (bass). It is on the rear of the subwoofer and a little hard to reach. I haven't heard of anyone who has discovered any adjustment on the Cobalt's factory subwoofer.
