Updated: Corsa Performance cat back for SS/SC
Talked to these guys a couple of months back and they were just starting development of a system for the SS/SC. Stopped in today and was told they will be putting the first production spec sample onto their test car within the next week or so. When this happens they are going to invite me out for a test drive.
I can't wait. I was assured that thier system sounds much different from the rest. Far deeper and as far away from ricey as you can get with a system for a 4 cylinder engine!
When I go out to hear it I'll ask if I can bring my camcorder along to capture the sound so I can post it for ya'll.
As soon as it's ready I'll be the first in line

the GAC cobalt has a 75 mm system with no catalytic converter. I am pretty sure the muffler is round as well, so all the folks hoping for no fart can your going to be bummed out. Unless they changed it for the aftermarket.
75 = 2.75 inches I think.

On Street Tuner Challange, on Speed channel, they put Corsa exhust on that cobalt. So when they start that one up you will get to hear it. It might sound a little different though because its a heavily modded motor.

i know alot ive seen for the srt's there is no muffler , just pipe and 2 tips , and maybe a resonator
the 1 on street tuner challage is the race system or susposed to be , so itll be louder
ive got that episode where they put the exhaust on taped , but i didnt watch all of it

the show is basicly 30 minutes , and is broken up into 4 segments
1 for the VW
1 for the skyline
1 for the cobalt
1 for the car show stuff
they pretty much striped the cars , then built up the cars each a different way , and then will be competeing against each other if i remember correctly
but each episode show a part of the changes done to the cars

One other neat thing I learned about Corsa is that they have Lingenfelter do all their dyno test work. So if you were wondering...that is where they get their numbers from.
