I read a whole lot of posts that they no longer put the recaro seats on the SS... I have an 07 and I have recaro seats...So.... I looked at my window sticker and it says the only option on my car is the performance package which includes the LSD, big spoiler and the recaro seats...Now im totally confused, look at the thread "what's a g85"

I am in sales at a chevrolet dealership and have several on our lot with the two tone interior package. It doesn't list on the build sheet as the recaro but lists as a "ebony int. with ____ inserts". The low profile spoiler has been ordered by the General Managers of those dealerships by choice. It costs no less to have the larger spoiler, it shows as aero wing delete on the build list. Its nothing you cant request from the dealership, and hey... now our cars w/ wing and inserts just got more rare!

 

^^ No No. Recaro seats ARE NO LONGER AN OPTION. GM does NOT put them in anymore with the LSD.

It USED to be the Recaro Seats AND the LSD transmission. VERY VERY few 2007's got them both. Now if you purchase a 2007 it will ONLY INCLUDE the LSD transmission if you option for G85.

 

Yep. Something to do with lack of an airbag sensor in the passenger seat, so they just ditched the option. G85 is just LSD on most 2007s, but yes, some '07s got lucky with the recaros.

 

Do the Recaro seats actually say Recaro on them somewhere? How do you identify an actual Recaro seat?

Yea it says Recaro rite under the SS logo and the seats are very different looking, the center of the back and seat is all grey mesh with black leather around them. I love my seats!!!!

Well that definatly says Recaro and arent in our 07, but the side bolsters and rest of the seat looks exactly like the Recaros.

Too bad there is no center console. I hate cars with no center console!

 

I installed an arm rest in mine, it has a little compartment where the arm rest is, not much room, but it's something. You can buy them for under $100.

 

Oops, sorry guys, just the inserts available. From what I gather here at work that wasn't a popular option so it has been discontinued...
I am picking up my SC on friday. Friggin excited!

 

The dealer ours is from said they can do the red seat inserts and door panels on ours for 1K. we looked for a long time trying to find a black with red inserts but finally had to settle for all black.

 

I was looking at one here in calgary but it was already purchased when I tried to secure it so I have black on black on the way.

 

I dunno, but I know I have lsd and I have the recaro seats.
