Short shifter for the 2.4 and 2.0?

Short shifter for the 2.4 and 2.0?

i was wondering if anyone knows if the shifter assembly for the 2.0 supercharged and the 2.4 are the same because i was looking into buying the husrt short shifter for my 2.4 but it is listed for the cobalt ss and saturn ion redline??

They are different. The 2.0l ones are shorter stock and the whole assembly is different.I don't know if you could get the whole thing out of a sc car and put it in the na cars cause the transmissions are different.The throws might be off.

nope 2.4 and 2.0 are different they wont fit.

well i do know the only shifter for the 2.4 is TWM and i dont beleive thatl go on anything else. everything for the 2.0 is for that and thats it i dont know maybe wrong.

nope.

Just get the TWM shifter and be happy.

Its what I did. And among the many problems my car is having until I get it tuned, the shifter remains badass.......and keeps me happy, lol.

how is it compared to the stock shifter. do the gears at all free up alittle like get alittle looser. 2nd and 3rd are kinda tight in my car. 2nd is the worst shifting at 6900 from 1st to 2nd. doesnt want to go in sometimes.

I have a 2.0 and I love the B&M. I feels alot stronger then the stock one. Replaced all that crappy plastic and the ball joint. As for your 2.4, I would say the TWM is great. I never had one but I hear very good feedback from this site.

if i get some money b4 my surgery in july then il either go with twm shifter or interior kit. no use in shifter yet i think that would be an excellent spring mod or fall mod. will see.
