New GMPP H.O. Intake Manifold

I was doing my weekly search on parts to see if there was anything new and I saw that GMPP now has a H.O. Intake Manifold.

Desc - 2.2XTC HO Intake Manifold Kit. Create more horse power with this kit developed for 05-07 Cobalt’s with the 2.2 Ecotec Engine. Kit comes with increased volume intake manifold, adapter plate, adapter plate gasket, intake seals, PCV seal, and brake booster hose.

i'm pretty sure u're stock manifold doesn't look like that... your stock manifold should be black with a seam down the side of it... oh yea and plastic.

thats made of metal... I wonder what Kind of gains that would give... I guess they realized too many people were blowing their manifolds off with nitrous

it looks too shiny and too much anisotropic specular ( makes the specular linear) to be plastic... on both my monitors it looks gray to much... and there's no seem down the side

***************************/viewtopic.p...477&highlight=

you're saying that looks like an in tact version of what he posted?

i dunno i could be wrong/ my monitors could be off but side by side they look different to me

haha touche... well GMPP or not it'll be warrantied by them.. so thats cool. can you use that on other models but the 2.2? i know headers are totally interchangeable.. that would be nice to get after I procharge my 2.4 ion, just to be safe it doesn't go pop.

My bad. I saw this last night and got excited about it and thought it was GMPP. But Hey it looks close to the stock one, I bet the dealership wouldn't even notice difference.

Its the intake manifold from the 2.4 with a plate so the 2.2 throttle body can bolt to it. thats it... they havent even dyno'ed it yet. i dont see it making more then like 3-5whp/wtq just like all the other bolt-ons.

Yes they do 2.4L manifold is a one-piece plastic manifold with larger ports and equal runners.

The engine pictured on ionforums.com is my engine too I painted it aluminum. ***************************/viewtopic.p...r=asc&start=20 (Bottom of page 2)I've had it on a while now and haven't had any problems with CELs, so it works with the 2.2L computer.

^^^^^
What he said.

They are looking for 2.2 owners in the Chicago Area now to do the dyno on this. Once they get the dyno's the worth can be measured a lil more. Since this has some modded peices... even though its made up of GMPP products.. i would double and triple check with the dealership to see if it voids your warranty..

And yes its plastic also
