I'm looking for a dealer in or around Syracuse, N.Y. (I'm at Ft. Drum) to install a GM Stage kit for the SS/SC. I've called six so far and they've all told me that it immediately voids my warranty and they won't allow any of their mechanics to install aftermarket parts. Real freakin helpful...

Has anyone had theirs installed in upstate NY that could refer me to a dealership that has experience installing the stage kits? Thanks much.

 

Have you tried East Syracuse Chevrolet or Bresee? When I was contemplating getting STG2 last summer they both were fine with installing it for me. I think Bresee is also a GMPP dealer, they are always at the Syracuse Nationals with a 'booth' to show off the goods. Plus, they sell Corsa exhaust systems as well as GMPP.

Bresee has always pushed selling GM performance parts and accessories. If someone told you they wouldn't touch a GM certified performance upgrade then they're just being an ass and not wanting to deal with your car...

 

Yeah I called Bresee and they weren't too happy about installing them. Maybe I just got the ******* of the week there.

I did get a positive response from Evans Chevrolet though in Baldwinsville. The Service tech was nice. Anyone ever heard of Evans?

 

Bresee installed mine. They are also a performance parts dealer, as mentioned. They'll do a good job with it, but like most dealerships, some of the guys you have to deal with are d*cks.

I've never been to Evans chevrolet, but they seem pretty nice - my folks sometimes deal with them.

I would say have Bresee do it, but any of the shops you mentioned should do it. Just your preferance.

 

Is there any cobalt meets coming up in the next week in syracuse? I'll be in the area next week, right now i have a stock LS but i want to change that real quick. I just want to talk to some people and find out what i can do and what i might like.
