question

are reverse lights a requirement under texas law i looked on dps website cant find anything

hmm... I believe it would be illegal to move backwards without a warning (light). I'm almost positive it would be illegal, as inspections make you show them a reverse light (at least in Louisiana). Plus you get in an accident because of it your screwed

i think they are required but then again u could move backwards without them by rolling down an incline and i dont think they could give u a ticket.

i think this is one of those things where they're probably not required, but if your car had them, they have to work.

kinda like turn signals, if you have a model T, you don't need them, but your 89 accord better have working ones.
