SINCE YOUR FILTER ISN'T REALLY EXPOSED TO THE ELEMENTS LIKE SOME OTHER IT'S NOT REALLY NECCESSARY BUT THEY DON'T HURT MUCH TO RUN ONE. mY BUDY HAS 1 ON HIS MAXIMA BUT HIS INTAKE RUNS TO THE BOTTOMOF HIS CAR..

what are you guys talking about?
Boost bypass valve? - this simply reverts boost out of the manifold (releases pressure) when its not needed, like at idle or light acceleration. this valve closes off under heavy throttle so pressure (boost) can be built up.

are you saying you want to revert this bypassed air back into the intake? i think it already does. if it doesnt i dont think this would do anything, it would just continuously cylce, pressure wouldnt build up in the intake tubing.

It's not necessary unless you plan on submerging your car in water which would be deep enough to also flood your interior and your headlights.

you dont need it on these cars. you got the skid plates protechting the intake from getting a single drop of water. unless you take the skid plates off and keep them off then your just fine without one. it wont hurt it but you dont need it.

Yep, and also as I said above, it would only help when pressure overcomes the valve in the bypass (AKA when your filter is either fully submerged or damn near it).
