View Full Version : NEW Product on sale right away!! Brushed BILLET STRUT BRACES for ALL Cobalt and G5

MRZ - RedGTZ

MRZ Performance is proud to bring to you another high end product. The new Brushed Billet Strut Brace for the Chevy Cobalt and Pontiac G5 and Pursuit. :cssNET:

Same High Quality as the MRZ Performance polished bars, but with a mutch lower price!

New introductory price set at $125 for a limited time only.

Instead of going with the group buy approach, we decided to make it a special deal right away since we know a lot of you guys have been waiting for this new piece to come out.

Here is the link: http://mrzperformance.vstore.ca/product_info.php/products_id/90

Here is a brief description:

The MRZ Polished Billet Strut Brace are not only show unequalled items... they can be use and abused on the track or in the streets, it will improve your steering feel and consistency and will eliminate flex in the front upper unibody during hard cornering.

ALL PARTS are CNC machined for a perfect fit and hand brushed for a clean look, they are made from the finest 6061 T6 Billet alloy. The center portion is 1/2 inch thick and the 2 end plates are 3/8 thick so if you get to bend these, your car must be wrecked real bad... This is not some high volume production strut bar like Dc Sport, Vibrant or Ractive ones that are weak and do not add any real support to your front end.

Other manufacturers painted steel strut braces just can't compete with MRZ solid billet strut braces...

Ready to install on your car in just a couple of minutes on the following applications:

All Years/All Models Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac Pursuit

The standard engraving on the center part of the strut bar is the MRZ Performance emblem and no emblems on the end pieces, if you would like something else, just let us know. We can do just about anything.

Your satisfaction is guaranteed on these covers like on all MRZ Performance products. Everyone who dealed with us know that we sell nothing but the best parts you can get for your ride.

If you guys have any questions or comments about it, just let me know via PM or email at sales@mrzperformance.com :twothumbs

Thanks for checking out!

It all depends on how complex is the design you want us to engrave, raging from $50-75 usually. To be sure we engrave exactly what you have in mind, we do a sketch and send it to you before engraving. We only proceed when you approve the design. We make a lot of custom designs and customers really love this unique aspect of our products :cssNET:

the brace being at $125USD witch gives us $138CAD once converted, the tax is about $8 so it's not that bad...

We ship with Canada Post witch is the same as USPS in the US. They offer a good variety of service but we also offer shipping with UPS if you want. The expedited business/commercial is only a way for them to clasify that the parts are shipped from a business/commercial adress. So it will ship to any redisential/home adress with no problem.

The approximate shipping would be 16$-18$ on polished or brushed. You can find out exact shipping by logggin to our website or just send me you zip code So the brushed bar is about 140$USD including shipping and the polished is about $190USD including shipping.

Let me know if you need any help with the order or shipping :cssNET:

If you have nothing else polished and do not plan on adding polished goos, I would go with the brushed version. The polished one does really look amazing but you have to polish it sometime to make it shine like new. But both of them are really unique parts that you will love :twothumbs it's guaranteed!

Just wanted to chime in and say that this is my strut bar/design that is posted above. I bought it to go on my 2005 Pursuit.

Mathieu at MRZ was very accomodating during the design process. After his initial "sketch", I had a few things I wanted changed slightly and he was all too happy to oblige. The end result was exactly what I had envisioned in my head when I decided to get one of these over the DC Sports bars. The level of customer service and the personal touch added to these makes it well worth the extra $40 it cost.

Lastly, I am in no way affiliated with MRZ, I'm just an extremely satisfied customer...and I haven't even got the item in my hands yet. :)

Would it be $20 or $40 more for the cobalt ss one? You guys should make that a standard option. It would be cool if they all came with MRZ on the ends (gotta support the vendor) and our choice of premade logos, or for more $$ for a complete custom one. Are there lower prices on ones that are allready designed?

Awesome part. I definately want one!

EDIT: For those that got thease allready. Did the cornering ability improve on your cars much with this? Thanks

2 DAYS LEFT AT $125!

Hurry up if you want one at $10 discount!

The Cobalt SS one is done for $40 more now since we do not offer this as a standard emblem. The only standard emblem done on the strut brace is the MRZ logo. We can do just about any emblems and designs so people can contact us with any request... The strut braces with the MRZ Performance emblem are at $125 now, 2 days left now.

Hey how's it going? I'm a newb but I wanted to comment on these strut bars. I just recieved mine with a custom engraving and the thing looks SICK! I was in a rush so I didn't have time to move the wiring harness below the bar so it can be seen better but it's a really nice addition. My engraving is GM Stage II Supercharged. unbolt the strut tower nuts, put bar on, put the nuts back on...

MRZ - RedGTZ
08-03-2007, 02:00 PM
Put everything there with the nut from the bar loose. Align everything, do a mark with a pen/marker on the end pieces. Remeove everything. You can have the nuts from driver side tighten between the end piece and bar. Be sure that it will be where you've marked it previously. Install that assembly on the car. Then put the passenger side end plate on the strut tower and bolt it to the strut brace center pieces. You're done ;)

Let me know if you need more help :cssNET:

Is it recommended that I use a torque wrench, and if I do what should I set it at? My roommate just installed both the front and back DC strut bar on his Eclipse and didn't use a torque wrench. He just tightened 'em back down.

If I do need to use a torque wrench, how much do they run?

Can't wait until I get this in the mail!:cssNET:

MRZ - RedGTZ
08-03-2007, 02:25 PM
You do not need a torque wrench to install this piece. Just use common send to tighten the bolts, not to hard cause the strut towers studs ar 8mm so they can broke off if you apply to mutch pressure ;)

So does this actually help the handling the cobalts? Im thinking about buying one when i get my balt i know i have seen them on GTOs. What does it do keep the body from swaying?

MRZ - RedGTZ
08-07-2007, 01:08 AM
Thank you for your interest in MRZ Performance products. The strut brace will eliminate flex in the front upper unibody during hard cornering witch will result in an overall better steering feel. It does this by joining the 2 strut tower together and making them a solid assembly since the strut towers are made out of sheet metal and flex easily under load.

hey, im having a little bit of difficulty installing the strut brace.... Can somebody give me some insight on how to get it put in?

Hey Mag. What I did was assemble the bar using thread locker. Do not tighten anything at this point just ensure it's loose enough to move around.

Remove the 4 inside strut bolts using a standard wrench. I think it was a 15mm (It's metric anyway). Mount the strut bar by pushing it through from the passengers side underneath the overhang and above the brake fluid resevoir. The small plastic thing that sticks up from that resevoir was a bit in the way so I just pushed it down to seat the bar properly. Once you get the bar seated screw the bolts back on so that it sits tight and mark a line where the bars meet (Use a pencil). Then remove the bar completely. Tighten just the drivers side as tight as possible. I used loctight on the bolts provided. Then put the bar back on. The passenger side can be tightened while on the car. All Data recommends 20 Nm (15ft lb) for the bolts but I just wrench tightened them.

I would suspect that you would feel more of the suspension work. It's very difficult to explain with words. You'll know you've got a bar because it just feels stiffer.

Thanks for your order! you'll notice a difference right away if you use the strut brace for auto-x witch takes the suspension and chassis to it's limit. Like Markus said, the car will fell stiffer resulting a better feel and control of the car. :cssNET:

i was just looking at your site.do you or can you make the Spark Plug Cover and Steel Fuel Rail Cover for the redline?thanks

We are looking at getting a Redline over here soon to take the necessary measurements but there is not mutch Redline owners around here... The Fuel Rail Cover and Spark Plug Cover will be EXACTLY the same design, except for the Cobalt SS emblem that we will change for REDLINE or ION REDLINE, the fuse box is not the same as the Cobalt however... The Fuse Box Cover would have the Saturn emblem on it.

I was wondering if a Redline owner would be able to send us his OEM fuse box cover so we can do the right design for them, this owner would get a FREE fuse box cover :twothumbs It would be easier for us than get to find a Redline over here and ask him to leave the car for a day or so...

Let me know via PM if you are interested or if you know somebody who would be interested. Thanks!
