Yea, so I went to the track yesterday to run my car, and I only got one run in due to axle breakage. I ran a 14.9 @ 94 while hitting the rev limiter in first and second, but it was the first time I ever ran this car, and only the 3rd time ever running. I did get a .119 r/t though!

So the second run, I didn't do a burnout, and tried to launch at 1500, then SNAP. So I have to go rent a car dolly from U-Haul to pick my car up from an hour away.

This is gay.

well im sure he didnt upgrade axles gm should cover it without looking under the hood.

they'll scream abuse... depending on how bad it is especially... i wouldn't get your hopes up on warranty, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Well, the dealer is saying that I race my car, something about the clutch and axle, but I work today, so I have to go back tomorrow to see what they say. Anyone know where I can get an OEM axle for cheap? Did anyone upgrade and want to sell me thier passenger side one?

I had the same problem. I snapped my left axle at the track, called GM roadside assistance and had my car towed (FREE) to the closest Chevy dealer. They replaced the axle no questions asked. I have an 07 SS/SC with 5k miles. Word of advice - if one dealership says no, go to another...

 

dude my dealer is cool as **** i put a stage colder plugs in and they fouled out due to the GM suckey rich tunes and they replaced my plugs under warrnaty and they werent even the one from factory. not to mention they love it when i mod my car i even think they said my clutch was covered for the whole 100,000 miles

 

Is this an 07 SS? Cause the only models I have heard of this happening on is the 07's. Ever heard of it happening on a 06 or older?

 

No, its an 06, and was on bald stock tires too... Its been fixed for a while now, but when I towed my car, it ripped the front lip straight off my car... Anyone have a SS/SC front lip laying around?

 

Dang, that sucks. Why won't the company who towed the car pay for the repair or a new front lip for you?

 

Cause I towed it, lol. I am going to the dealer to price one today, cause I cant find a used one anywhere... hope its not too bad.
