i had a manual exhaust cut out on my saturn lol, when the exhaust valve is opened it will vent the exhaust before it gets to the muffler etc.

 

What's the big deal? Didn't sound much louder with the exhaust cut-off opened. The video looked pretty lame. Would have been better if you "actually opened up the car alittle! That video was a waste of 8 minutes, and 22 seconds of my life.

 

Its a nice setup. I'd like to hear it under WOT too.

Hey....truth hurts! I listen to it with the volume turned way up, didn't sound that much louder. Besides, you just drove around in traffic. You need to reshoot video WOT. Go some where isolated and give her all she's got....... Then let's hear the difference.

 

That has got to be the gayest thing I have ever seen. Like blkcobalt said, that was a waste of 8 min. and 22 sec. of my life. Did anyone notice how close the cutoff valve was to the ground?? Check it out again, if he would run over road kill it would rip that thing off. That guy is an insult to all Cobalt owners.

Its an electric cutout. So when the person in the vid flipped the switch it opened up the cutout so that the exhaust was going though the muffler but rather was being dumped out of the cutout.

 

It was alright, but the cutout does need to be tucked up a little tighter.

 

Someone already pointed this out, but I'm sure you missed it.

honestly when i did the Manual Cutout on my Saturn, i put it right after the cat, and it sounded like an 800 dollar exhaust system...

 

I was thinking about getting a Mr. Gasket electric cutout for my SS/SC already, and after hearing this I'm definetly going to get one. It sounded much better than I thought it would and since it only costs about $100 bucks for a good electric kit it'll let you keep your stock exhaust and save $500 plus. You guys also have to remember that after compressing those vids the sound/picture quality is less than half of the real thing....SO CHILL THE **** OUT!

Now all I need is a header, high-flow down pipe w/ high-flow cat and a cutout. Makes life much more simple. Sounds better than any fart cans vids We've seen as well.
