congrats on car the man, and welcome to the site!!!. the most commmon preformance mods are the GMPP Stage 2 kit (smaller pulley, bigger injectors new belt and reflash. adds about 30-40HP, very much worth it, it costed me about $800 CDN with installation i think roughly. alot of people who get stage two also get the GMPP exhaust or some other kind of prefromance exhaust. the CAI definatly is worth it. it adds prolly like 5-10HP and a bit or torqe but its definatly worth it to let the whole world know you have a supercharger, the whine is incredible. the CAi is alot of people first mod, it cost around 300 bucks and can be installed yourself. anyways, congrats again!

Congrats dude...don't get a CAI you pay 300 bucks for a shiny pipe. Do the Airbox mod - only cost 60 bucks

im gonna have to agree....do the airbox mod, and get an Ingals TD...it might not make the car have more power, but it makes it put the power it does have to the ground better.

i think everyone here is way off. Go to discount tire. Trade them your brand new pirelli's for a set of 225 width tires. Wider patch = better grip and traction. Should cost you about $150 after the trade. Then learn how to put the power you already have to the ground. Take another $200 a replace your motor mounts and CAB's.

I highly recommend the GMPP Stage II for any brand new SS/SC to keep the warranty intact and some type of intake or airbox mod.

The Ingalls torque dampener isn't as great as everyone makes it out to be...it helps a little

*shrug* i think its better than everyone makes it out to be IMO.
I watched the progress of it for 8 months before i finally found one at the price i wanted to pay, and was sure that the product was going to last, and do the job it claims.

I wish i hadnt waited so long. the piece of mind of knowing my axles and transmission are so much safer, as well as the ability to "peel out" now, instead of "hop out" was worth the money 5 times over.

TTR's Solid Motor Mounts are on sale right now, I just picked me up one and grabbed the transmission bushings on combo as well. Will help much more than the Ingalls....

What filter you need can be found in the how to section in the thread how to do the air box mod. However most people use the Dry Flow AEM filter, I am not sure of a part number off the top of my head. Myself along with many others have had good results the the pepboys spectre filter which can be had for 26$. Autozone also carries filters you can use, just make sure there is not alot of oil on the filter if you get the autozone/peopboys one. The oil has been known to get on the MAF and throw some codes!

Good luck and congrats on your new car!

Mike
