BTW, forgot to add in my post, if you're still under warranty, when they say "cannot duplicate the problem" it means "we're trying to put it off in hopes that it breaks the day after your warranty expires". Don't let them get away with that. Keep taking it in, making the same complaint. Get as detailed as possible about the conditions when it happens.

More convinced, you've got a bad BCM. Try another dealer and see what they say.

There is no way shape or form that a pulley will affect the BCM, but I see where you're coming from. Better safe than sorry.

You're welcome, and good luck with it. It's an easy fix once you can convince them that it's bad. I went through the same thing with mine, it started with the high beams not working off and on, then I was getting the passkey thing while driving as well, it would just come on, flash, and then go off. I had it in 3 times at two different dealers and got the same "could not duplicate the problem." Finally the highbeam problem got so bad that they'd almost never work, took it in, they finally agreed there was a problem and replaced the BCM.

i think every single guy here they ever found out that alley was a girl has asked her to marry him!

maybe keep a camera handy, and take a picture or video of it freaking out so at least you can show them what it's doing.

I think you're right. Me, Debbie, Donna, and the other CSS.net chicas should keep a proposal counter in our sigs. Nothing new though - I used to manage a video game store when I was 18/19 years old, that got me a lot of pick up lines, proposals, and semi-creepy "secret admirer" flowers taped to the door on Valentine's Day, LOL.

Glad to hear it! Those symptoms sounded all too familiar to me. Unfortunately for me they waited until my high beams didn't function AT ALL to fix it. Nothing like needing the extra brightness on a back road at night, flipping the switch and losing ALL HEADLIGHTS going around a turn in the winter - fun times!
