I was sitting at a light when a monte carlo pulled up asking if I got the factory to turn up my boost. I had no idea what he was talking about, and if it could even be done, so I raise the question.

Can boost be increased on the factory supercharger. If yes, then how. Just got the car and only have an intake done to it...next week is a different story though.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I wanted to know if this guy was serious or just bull shittin. Thanks in advance.

 

if you buy the stage II kit (smaller puly, bigger injectors, and a tune)

 

Buying any smaller supercharger pulley will give you more boost. The way it comes from the facotry is set to 11.5 psi of boost. Like stated above stage 2 from GM will get you up to 15 psi.

 

The stock boost is 12.5 actually.

 

Yeah I know someone would say different. Ive heard NO its 11..NO its 11.5...Nope set at 12 guys and then 12.5...lol who knows.

 

its 12.5 hptuner confirmed.. let them say 11 .. computer dont lie

 

Maybe he thought you had the new 08 Tubro Model Turning up boost is just a little button then. Lol

 

if it helps to clear it up any i have been told that it runs 2 pounds less boost the first 2000 miles.
