Even if I wasn't involved, I would have stopped to see if everyone was OK, or if I could do something to help.

I was 1 car back when something like that happened! I was driving behind a Jeep cherokee, in the left lane, and there was a semi in the right lane. A merging lane was coming up, with a car coming on, even though the Jeep was right next to the semi, the semi turned on its blinkers and changed lanes. The Jeep started honking and flashing its lights, but the semi just kept going, the jeep moved left until its left wheels were in the dirt, then the guy almost lost control, but swerved back onto the road right behind the semi. I was scared shitless, I can't imagine how badly the drivers underware were stained after that. The stupid semi driver kept going as if nothing happened. I wanted to shoot that *******

That is some scary ****. It almost happened to me! You gotta respect that blind spot! Now I don't drive in blind spots for any amount of time.

I was in a similar accident with my 2002 Corolla. I was in the left lane just like the SUV, and my left tire blew out. I hit the rumble strip because the car started pulling to the left so I cut the wheel to the right, and I rolled onto my left side across the highway onto the right side of the road. My grandmother was in the car (I was 16 at the time) and we were heading to the mountains to go snowboarding. 1 car accident, completely my fault. I have pics of the wreck somewhere.

Wow...is all I can say. And those ******* posting on YouTube that it was her fault cuz she over corrected, they need to be put in that situation, and the result would have probably been the same.

Okay, I usually stay away from threads like this but....

Yes, the kid should have stopped, absolutely, but here is what I saw...

He obviously made an illegal lane change. There was no signal. He obviously didn't check his blind spot, because otherwise he would have seen the SUV next to him. So yes, he is at fault.

BUT...

From that video, he NEVER touched the other car before he swerved back into his lane. The driver of the SUV swerved WAY too much out of the way to avoid the collision, and rolled her own car over. It upset me that they made it sound like the kid rammed the SUV, because he didn't.

Not to start an arguement, but at 33 seconds i heard a slight hit between the two cars. The dash cams quality isn't that great, but did anyone else hear the hit??

I think the sound you heard was actually the dramatic music...

Hmm... Now with a second look, it looks like he may NOT have hit her, but it's really, really freaking close.

I was in a situation like that when I had my Colorado. Had the thing lifted on 31s. Anyways, was pushed off the road by some *******, if I would have corrected to get on the road I would have rolled for sure. Best thing to do in those situations is have fun, go offroading.

Thats horrible! And that driver that swerved should've been penalized or something! The lady in the SUV did over correct though... i'm thinking three wrongs and the lady driver got the worst of it.
On another note:
I did have a semi throw on his signal and start merging into my lane, while i was beside his cab! I was in the Caprice, so i punched it to the mats and dropped two tires in the ditch and got in front of him. There was some serious light flashing and hand waving after that!
