water under the wing

hey just a quick question but..for thos that have a ss/sc with the high mount and has taken them off, is there any like gasket or something between the trunk and the wing? i ask because everytime i was my car i have to press down on the wing to get alot of water from under it. So in a few years with all that old water that stays under there would cause it to rust (i think) any ideas?
