Fujita CAI fitment

After looking throught all the different post on the subject , is the fujita intake designed wrong or are the people having issues installing it wrong? I can get a new one for 170 shipped , and i can't decide weather to pass because of the inner fender rubbing the tire issue , or to take a chance and see if i can get it to fit right . Suggestions welcome THX

What's wrong with the K and N you have? I've heard some bad things about the fitment of the fujita.

I think the "Flu-Jita" could be ok if you don't install the bracket that holds the second (lower) tube, so the pipe won't bent the fender ...

The K&N is a drop in with an air box mod . I would like to get a cai so that all of the air filter is exposed . The way i did the air box mod is, i cut the side facing out towards the fender off the air box and left the rest . so half of the filter is exposed . Thx for the reply's

Fujita we have ALWAYS heard it has poor fitment. Injen has been known to fit the best with the least amount of trouble.

Tried it, doesn't work. Don't buy it. I got a Fujita for 150 shipped cause i thought i was getting a good deal, til my tire almost rubbed a hole in my splash guard....

You have to play with your Fujita in order for it to fit correctly. Mine fits fine. It was a bitch to install. But my tire has never rubbed my fender well. I think it depends on the person installing it.

Fujita fits 100% perfectly, it's all in how you install it. Mine's been on for a year and a half. Fits a lot better than the Injen, no rubbing on the filter, no rubbing on the fender.

There are two tricks:

1) Get all the connectors fitted up nice and snug against each other before tightening the clamps.

2) Pretend the bracket doesn't exist and don't connect it. Mine rests right on the plastic splash guard at the bottom, but DOES NOT rub anything.

Like I said, mine fits perfectly, no problems, no CEL codes.

not sure about the 07's. Mine fits perfectly on my 06. I even have the lower bracket connected. Its all about taking the time to make sure you get the fitment right. its a PITA but its worth it for the performance and sound.

SO some have issues , others don't . I'd rather not cut anything off and have a nice tight fit . Guess i should pass on it then . thx for the reply's
