Thumbs down Water Build Up Around SS/SC wing?

Anyone else have water built up around their SS/SC wing bases after washing their cars or rain? it drips down the back and makes ugly water marks all over the lid and bumper! It stays in there for days! Also, when I close the trunk lid, it rattles. I'm working on putting a thick rubber gasket under it to eliminate the problem. Am i the only one with this problem?

i took my wing off a lil bit ago and saw some rust around the holes drilled for it. i took some GM touch up paint to them. i gotta put another gasket in so there will be 1/8" total and some clear silicone all the way around. ill get pics when im done with the results.

honestly when you wash your car open up your trunk and let it drip down all the water will leave simple as that

thats a problem, thats why when i dry after a wash. i take the air compressor hose and blow out those hard to dry areas like that. wing, tail lights, that plastic mesh on the rear bumper, those places that just drip for like an hour after you dry,,, keeps from getting those dreaded water spots....

all that was there was 3M tape. i was hoping they had a gasket. i gotta look into it. im making my own. poor design from GM with the base of the wing. it doesnt sit flush enough. When my car is drying, it still hold water even if the lid is up. i'll open the lid 3-4 days later and water still comes out. even if i take a compressor to it.
