Man, I'm gone from Dallas for 2 months and all hell breaks loose

 

I saw it on the news this morning while getting ready for work. It was cool watching the fire creeping closer and closer to the cars parked around, eventually causing them to blow up.

 

I was on 35E North, one exit from 30 after the explosion had already started. Had some service work to do off Industrial Blvrd too!! My boss was behind us in another truck. Called the wifey and asked her to check the tv to see what the hell was burning? That's when I found out it was gas storage tanks exploding. So I called my boss and told him what was up and we ended up having to exit 8th street and just turning back around and heading south back to the shop in Alvarado.
I was stuck in traffic for almost an hour. Sucked but atleast i was getting paid to just sit there. I saw two different parts of the tanks fly up and land on the freeway. I would've hated to be passing by that when they were going off though.

Oh, and I was in the work truck.

hehe... nevermind the hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage.... THAT WAS SOOOO WICKED!!!! lol... we're the coolest people ever.

 

I'm just glad no one was killed. I heard there are three people injured, is that still the count?
