well, raced a turbo zx2 last night. They put a stock motor in it with a turbo kit and stripped it down to nothing. No accessories or anything. No power steering, no ac, nothing. AND it has some tranny work. I.E. phantom LSD and some shorter gears. anyways, he pm's me on ness yesterday that his cousin wanted to run me. I pm them back that yea I'm game and we could meet up right before I had to be at work.

Ok, on to the race. We raced a few good times and it was a lot closer than I expected. He just ate me outta the hole with them sticky tires and lsd and I spend each race from a dig making ground back up.

Race 1: From a dig
I bog out and he jumps out about a car and a half, I slowly pull him in until we reach about 85/90 and pass him. I don't know why but we kept going to 135 and I had a few cars on him. like 3-4 cars.



Race 2: 35 roll
I left it in 1st and banged the rev limiter pretty hard. I just couldn't pull back past him. The best I could do was him having a nose on me. We shut down about 120 or so.



Race 3: Dig again
I spin and he jumps out again. I slowly pull back and pass him about 95 or so this time and have a car on him by like 115-120.



Race 4: 40 roll
I start in 2nd and jump a nose out, he pulls even and when I hit 3rd I start to pull away, I had a little over a car at 100 and then about 2 cars or so at like 110.



Race 5: Dig for the last time.
I spin real bad and he jumps out. We stop at 100 with us dead even, but I was pulling the whole time again.



All in all. Great races. everytime we came to 100mph from a dig we were right side by side with me passing him. from a roll I just really pull away. I need some stickier tires that's for sure. 18" street tires FTL.

uh, no. mine is the ss supercharged. you can barely hear my supercharger in each vid. I was surprised that the escort was that fast as well. But he did have a 57trim turbo.

Someone that posted here all the time has a turboed ZX2. Turbo anythings can be pretty fast.

 

That road was pretty shitty. I usually launch at 2500 rpms and I do really good. But he was eating me outta the whole pretty good. So I upped it to 3000 that one time and it still did me no justice. Damn his suspension and tires! It's all good though, top end got him. lol

I am stock. just have a raised rev limit. that's it. I told him a simple pulley and he would have never kept up at all.

Well I was only sitting at like 6500 rpms. I rev to 7500. I was just trying to get that extra bit of power to jump out in front of him. Didn't work to well as you can see.

Here is round 2 from last night. He says the only changes are 7%leaner and 6* more timing. but from the way he pulled me, he has to have been spraying that nitrous he has on there. bus and half easily from 40-110.
