This style dosent look like it would be very sturdy. Granted, I have never had one, but it seems like it could not be as strong as a solid bar like the DC sports Strut brace.

I will admit though that I have never been in the pressence of one in this style and can not actually vouch for their strength. Just the impression that I get.

Yea it only makes sense that a solid bar would be better
but thats cool that another one is out, more choices, and styles

I'm not a big fan of JC Whitney quality, even though its cheaper I wont be purchasing it. Wasn't there another company that released a strut tower brace, like DC Sports or something...?

yea DC is the the other one most people are purchasing.

im pretty sure RSM Racing has one, and SMS (saturn motorsports) has one, but not sure if it would fit the cobalt, just guessing!

Yep, DC Sports, Modern performance has them. Very nice! Easy to install, for the most part, and well worth the money for the improved ride quality. 85.99 plus shipping!

I cannot vouch for it on an SS mind you, but I would imagine that the overall effect would be about the same!

youd see more gain out of a thicker sway bar.

A thicker one wouldn't fitt, do you have a Cobalt? Go outside and look.

I had the Vibrant front strut bar on my 97' Z24 and it worked great. Still have it on my 04' Cavalier LS Sport. Just as good as any other brand. I'd buy it. -Erik-

atleast the strut bar from jc whitney doesnt slide into place. it is bolt down on both sides of it and also looks to me that it bolts down to all 3 botls and not just 2 bolts like the dc. i think they both have there advantages and disadvantages.

Why not do both... Strut bar and Eibach Anti-Roll kit.. slap on the Eibach Pro-Kit and there would be no roll in the car at all

There is actually 4 bolts total and the DC has the insert piece on each side is going towards the tire. To me it's not going anywhere. I think it looks good.

I gotta agree, I think the DC is damn sturdy, that thing ain't going ANYWHERE. Once you get it situated where it needs to be it's rock solid and then with the nuts torqued down on it, there is no way that thing is going to move.
