ugh the rims....

Well, I've heard it from a million people, the rims on the 05-06 ss s/c chip/peel/whatever because they are sprayed so thinly.
I have my chips and scratches, but i didn't make it a huge deal until today.
I get my new tires put on, and when it comes out of the bay.. BOOM there's a chip right on the lip of the rim about 1/2- 3/4 inches long. down to the metal, it looks like something got caught and pulled the finish right off of that baby. You can tell that they screwed up because the other 3 rims have like extreme excessive grease on them to make sure that it didn't happen to those rims. The one with the scratch looks like it has no grease at all.
I ask the manager, and he asks his guys, and they say they have no clue how it got there. I'm a maniac about my car, so i know every little chip/scratch about it (they all break my heart)... and i know it was not there as of yesterday at around 8:00 pm because that's when i washed my car. So by some form of evil magic... between my house and the 2 mile drive to the tire place, it's there apparently. hmmmmm

So the real reason for this thread was to ask what you guys do about chips on the rims. it's the darker, gunmetalish color rim. He called the chevy dealer and of course they don't make a touchup paint. My dad sells fords and he says that the "Fusion street package" has similar color rims, so i might see if they have touchup paint. It may not be exact, but at least i won't see that shiny metal spot.

Someone, please help. My baby has a boo-boo.

Mine stone chipped all to hell when I drove it in the snow one time. The road I was on had cinders out the ass, I could hear then just killing my wheel wells. My dad put my new tires on as well and we scratched the **** out of them, they are just really hard to mount without a good machine, we used a shitty one. I took it to the dealer and just said they chipped really bad, naturally. In two weeks I had 4 brand new wheels, mounted and balanced by them. Now they look brand new and I got 30-40k miles before I need to go through getting new tires again.
