Need New Tires

Hi Guys....I have a 4dr SS and I have put 43,000 miles on in a little over 14 months. I need new tires.
Any suggestions?
I don't really want performance tires, I am looking more for a tire that will last a few more miles.

In the stock 205/50/17 size it's hard to find tires that arn't aimed at performance. I tried looking into some other sizes and still couldn't find a tire that seems like it's what your looking for.

You should be able to clear 16" wheels on that car, look into the 5 lug 07+ cobalt 16's maybe. Buying new wheels will cost more up-front (you could probably sell the stock ones to help offset the cost) but if you bought some 16's you could run a 205/55/16. In the 205/55/16 you can get more all season touring performance tires (sorry, still hard to get away from performance all-together). The tire I like for all season sport touring is the BFGoodrich Traction T/A.
Here's a link to the 205/55/16 Traction T/A on Tire Rack. The traction T/A has a 60,000 mile warranty (at least when you buy them through Sam's Club, thats where I work) and I think it would be a very good choice for your car. That's assuming you switch to a 16" wheel.

I'm sorry but in the stock 17" it's really hard to find a touring or even performance touring tire without going really far out of the stock size. (I can find a 245/45/17 Traction T/A but that's just about guaranteed to rub on a cobalt). Maybe someone else knows of a tire I don't hopefully.

What size tire are you running 2.4SlowassBalt? I'm looking at 205/50/17 on Tire Rack and I don't see the Response Edge there.

Doh! I didn't check taller tires hehe. Thanks 2.4SlowassBalt.

Tires that would probably be good in a 215/50/17:
Goodyear Assurance Triple Tread - 80,000 Mile warranty $134
Goodyear Eagle RepsoneEdge - 50,000 Mile Warranty $129 (I personally am not positive on this mileage warranty, I belive 2.4SlowassBalt said they have a 50,000 warranty)
BFGoodrich Traction T/A - 60,000 Mile warranty $133

All the prices are from Tire Rack, for single tires, not including mounting. Just to give you a rough idea of the price range.

Also note these are just the tires that I'm familiar with that in my opinion would suit you well. My personal recomendation for you would be the Assurance, hard to beat an 80k warranty .
