View Full Version : Diverter Valve Wolfman 10-23-2005, 02:51 PM I can get one, does any one know what chords to attache it to, and if it a good idea to get one, etc. Please help me out thanks. SBcobalt 01-13-2008, 10:51 PM how do diverter valves work? do u need to be pushing a certain psi? PuSha050 01-14-2008, 04:58 PM do not buy one. u have no reason to buy one unless ur going turbo which then it would actually serve a purpose and all a diverter valve is is a blow off valve that is recirculated back into the intake tract (or you could say all a bov is is a diverter valve that is released into the air ;)) SBcobalt 01-16-2008, 08:25 PM so with stage 2 im not even pushin enough psi to get any use out of one? it doesnt recycle any boost right? articzap 01-16-2008, 08:28 PM Since boost is built after the throttle body, a bov/diverter valve will do absolutely nothing. Pully Police 01-16-2008, 08:32 PM YOu already have a "diverter" valve - it is called a bypass valve and it is built right into the blower housing - it equalizes the pressure before and after the compressor lobes, and allows the car to function in "suction" mode while staeady state cruising. SBcobalt 01-16-2008, 08:53 PM gotcha..guess i wont be getting one |
