The Path to power... Need help!

Ok so the title is a little goofy but Im trying to build up a daily driver. Thus it needs to be some what reliable. These are the plans on what I want to do but I really need some help. This is sort of the order in which I want to do things (please change the order if you feel it is incorrect or add to it)

Currently Stock:
Stage 2 (or make a kit?)
BFG KDW2 (225/45/18)
Short Throw Shifter
Injen Intake
Vibrant Long Tube Header with downpipe and highflow cat
Corsa Touring Exhaust
All mounts replaced with solid mounts

Now on the stage 2 kit, Im an auto tech at an independent shop by trade, installing a kit would be no problem. My main problem is the tune. For my ranger I had a SCT2 tuner on it and that was great because I just installed it through OBD2 port and I recorded data for a guy to make a data logged tune. However at cobalt-addiction they want you to send the PCM in to have it reprogramed and I can not be without a car for to long. Also, the GM one is nice because it maintains warrenty, but for the money you get a different kit that pushes more power. Anyway, im real stuck on what to do for a stage kit. I really like the CA Stage 3 but the whole tuner thing.

Any info would be helpful. Im trying to plan the upgrades out. Any help is welcomed!

stage 2 makes a big dif.
GREATEST TIRES I'VE EVER OWNED, they stick like super glue, the only downside is they're kinda loud
the intake will make that bitch scream
not too familiar w/ the headers or exhaust mentioned
w/ the mounts, you're going to get some vibration

I had a 04 ranger 2wd 4.0L. They make 207hp and 238tq. With the 225s I would spin them stock. After upgrading with a K&N CAI, JBA header back exaust with borla cat back, the data logged tune, 4.10s I couldnt keep them from spinning. I went some KDW2s and some different rims and it made all the difference. Awesome tires!

How bad is the vibration with the mounts? I dont really race, but I do drive aggressively to get on the freeway and such.

Also who does tuning?

What do you drive?

The Cobalt SS 2.0L can be decently fast and reliable. It's not the fastest car out there, but it's a very good entry level car for modding.
