ZZP DP installed, aftermath problem, help?

So, I finally had the time to install my high flow cat and ZZP downpipe. For the price it looked decent. After I installed it I checked for leaks. No leaks, however I did find a very very small hole on the highflow cat. Would of never noticed it without the car on and feeling around for air. Sure enough a small ammount of hot air was comming from the cat from a small hole. What do I do? Call ZZP? I know a small weld/bead would fix it for sure. However do I let ZZP know about this problem. Will they pay for it? I'm sure it would only be a small ammount to fix. Other then that the downpipe and highflow seemed good.

Thats weird. I would definately let them know about that. I hope everything turns out okay.

BTW, when are you heading to the track with the DR's? I can't wait to see your results.

Yeah I would just call them. I didn't have any problem with mine but I really didn't look really close at the cat when the car was started. I know I looked to make sure each end didn't leak.

I think everyone should take a close look at their ZZP downpipe and highflow cat. I will call them tomarow. It was a real small hole, only way to find it is to be under the car when its running. Take your hands across the cat all around it and down the pipes. (DO NOT TOUCH IT, ITS HOT!) I was taught to do this by a expert race car mech. You will be able to see moisture and feel warm air flow out of any small holes or imperfections in welds.

I'll have to look the next time I have it on the lift. My cobra h/e will be here shortly and I will use the lift to put it on. It has been on for a while so I would assume if it does leak there would be black stuff on it by now.

Yea, it will be dirty dirty! I hope you do not have the same problem. Its not that big of a deal but it should not of been a problem on a brand new part. Oh well, these things happen. See what ZZP has to say about it first thing tomarow.

Here is that link to the ZZP DP and other options:

As for going to the track...should not be long at all. I just need to get this cat fixed and then I can go. Would like to get my gauges set up yet too. The gauges have nothing to do with 1/4th time so no big deal if I don't get that done. Most likly I'll end up at the track in Sept. sometime.
