GM Club of Houston?

Hey guys. I was wondering if any of you would be interested in starting up a little GM network in the Houston area. We are way behind when it comes to organizing the GM crowd. The Austin, DFW, and SA groups are large and very organized. I think we can do just as good and have a lot of fun doing it

This Saturday a nice sized group is having a bbq g2g at a friend's house and then rolling out to the Chewy ***** meet on Louetta. The BBQ will be around 6pm. We'll probably hang out and watch the Cowboys/Texans game and then head out to the meet. If you'd like to join the fun give me a call that day and I'll give you directions. The bbq will be a couple of blocks away from the Hooters on 1960 and I-45

Hope to hear from some of you. Peace!
My name is Mark

GM's of SA > GM's of Houston lol jk... just a friendly city rivalry. That would be sweet for the next GM Bash have bracket racing tournament city vs. city

Sorry for the late reply guys. This thing will get started pretty soon and hopefully grow and grow over time. We are going to start planning GM themed meets. Our first meet is tomorrow (Saturday.) We're having a bbq at a buddy's apartment at 6pm at 905 Cypress Station Drive. Give me a call and I'll tell you where exactly to go.

Around 9pm we are heading out to the Chewy ***** meet at 7316 Louetta Rd, Spring TX 77379. Look for the gang of Cavys, Balts, and Grand AMs.

I'd like you guys to go to this myspace page and leave some contact info if you are interested in meeting up and/or joining... This is only a temporary place holder for the group. Eventually we'd like to open up our own website and forum.

Thats cool. We're going to be in Spring tonight so yall have fun at Westheimer. We can plan the next "GM" meet to be wherever you guys decide to meet up next Saturday or the Saturday after that.

Well we setup the myspace page for the group. It will just be a temporary home. We'll move onto a real website when the group really picks up speed. So visit the page and submit your application. We have a few big plans. One of those plans is to host a Texas sized "GM" meet in the Houston area. We also hope to be able to travel as a large group to other GM meets/shows that will take place outside of Houston, like the TX Jbody/Delta Bash. The next one might be held early next spring. But the date is totally up to the CentexJ's. But whenever the date is, we'll be ready and we'll be there

Please bookmark both of these pages and add yourself to both. One is the profile page and the other is the 'forum' for the group...

We go to every Chewy ***** meet. We set up pre meets somewhere near 1960 and all cruise to the meet together. I'm still working on setting up our own regular meet. But for now we do the Chewy ***** every time it happens. This meet is great and has some really nice cars and people. (Go to the Houston Imports site for more info about the meet) Do any of yall wanna meet up for the next one?

Saturday September 22nd -
pre-meet: Hooters at 1960/I-45 at 6:30pm (park in the back near that little empty building)
roll-out to the Chewy ***** meet at 7:30pm (Chewy ***** is a tapioca drink place on Louetta and Veterans Memorial Dr. near the HEB.)

All types of cars are welcome to our little pre meet.

Well, this isnt a Cobalt meet lol. I dont own a Cobalt btw. It is a mostly import meet that usually gets between 80-120 cars every time. The Hooters on 1960 usually hosts car shows every once in a while. Theres also a meet at Cavenders on 1960 on Thursday nights and Sunday nights if I'm not mistaken. That's what goes on in Spring on a normal basis.
