I know the title made me laugh after i typed it. Anyways does the 04 redline have the F23 Transmission or the Getrag because I have seen both listed and am curious if it was changed in 05 or not. Rep to whoever helps me

umm i think i was wrong you should have the Getrag F23 (M86/MG3)

No its a five speed not an automatic

well a five speed manual not automatic

its should be an mu3 saab transmission, but saturn likes to do EVERYTHING different so it may not.


i just looked it up on SI, its a getrag trans.

 

The getrag is listed as the only manual that has a ion listed for it other wise for automatics the asin one is the right one but its an automatic

So for parts I am looking for the parts to the getrag with the 2.2 then and not the fiat one

 

im prety sure we share what same sabb Getrag me and my fiancee even have the same shifter .lol(she has a redline)when i get off work , i'll go take a look to make sure...

 

i am looking for the 04 though before the ss/sc and everything i find there is a different mount for 04 but not 05

 

hers is a 04 , im sure its stamped on the tranny somewere

as far as i can see the trannys are the same, the top engine mount, and both lower mounts look the same by eye balling it , but i cant see the upper tranny mount , too much stuff on top of it .

 

because bwoody sells the front one as an 04 then 05 and up

 

lookes to be the same tranny , the mounts looks to be of the same desing , but the front mount seems to be in a diffrent positon , my guess would be mounting on the 04 subfram is slightly diffrent from the 05+ and coblat subfram.

 

i thought maybe it was a different tranny but mounting could be it. Also if i want to upgrade the clutch i need to get the right one
