1g dsm GSX vs ME

I'm at it again! I think I've mastered launching this car on the street, if only I could do this at the track. this is the 2nd awd car I've raced and beaten out of the hole. He was even launching at 6K rpms.

his mods are intake, 3" turbo back exhaust, springs, shocks, clutch, flywheel. stock boost and stock 14b turbo.

I didn't have anyone with me this time, so they did the video taping with my camera.

here we are meeting up.

Race 1, from a DIG

Race 2, From a DIG

Races 3 and 4 from DIGS, first race in this vid I wasn't in it all the way to see if maybe he could pull on me, but he didn't. Then the second race we were both all out.

One of those first 2 races he missed a gear. I don't remember which one. Yes, I did get him out of the hole everytime. He even said he was launching at 6K rpms. He was just as impressed as I was. Really clean car though!

Nice runs, the one that he was with you for sounded like he was slipping the clutch out too much, which may have been hindering his launch a little. Good job either way though

it's like 3am now. I work night shift and even when I'm off of work, I stay up LATE! I am a vampire. These races took place at 1am.

The one where he stayed with me, I was just toying with him to see if he could pull me at all. You'll notice we stop again and I just murder him again. lol.

eh, racing usually happens on friday and saturday nights. But I gotta work weekends this month. this guy and the wrx wanted to run me pretty bad for some reason. So I told them to do it last night and tonight since I was off work right now. I won't be able to make it out on the weekends till next month. We do a rotation at work. I have to pull weekend duty like once every 4 months. On that off month, I'll go down to KC and race on the wednesday night grudge night at KCIR. Plus I'll race some local guys here if they want. We wait till crazy hours though so that there are no traffic and no cops. lol.

STOCK! I think NOT! Since when is Intake, 3" turboback exhaust, shocks, springs, clutch, flywheel, and boost creeping to 18psi stock? He is MUCHO faster than stock. I am just MUCHO faster than him. I trapped 101mph in the 1/4mile before my meth kit. My car is pulling a lot harder now with the meth kit plus I have upped the base timing 5degrees. I'd assume it should trap something like 103 or even possibly 104.

whoa lol, chill.

and like i said, stock. intake and exhaust is basically stock. pushing 18lbs through that little turbo isnt doing much, maybe even hurting him. It really isnt common to run into them with bigger turbos/cams/FMIC/etc/etc, because like i said, intake & exhaust is pretty much stock, nonetheless congrats on beating a slow AWD car.

your definition of stock is crazier than mine. i consider myself stock. that dsm definitely wasn't. Yes it was slow, but it wasn't stock. i'm still stock down to the filter on my intake.

I wish I could figure out how to launch my Cobalt like that. Maybe I'll have to practice against my Talon until the Cobalt can beat it from a dig, too!

Very nice runs.
