What is the average temp your car runs at? mine sites about 190 - 200 on average. Just wondering, its a lil warm for my blood so i was going to start on beefing the cooling.

EDIT: ****, this shoulda went in the 2.4L section, damnit, sorry mods.

my 2.2 runs low 190's when normal driving
and 195-205 when racing/heavy acceleration

it does seem to run pretty hot, but i think it's just the nature of the ecotec 4cyl's

Mine runs in the low to mid 90s, in celcius of course. I have no idea what that is in F degrees, since that system never made much sense to me.

About the same here. I have to be stopped in traffic for a long time to get over 200.

192-196 all summer. Stuck in traffic I've seen it as high as 215.

189-192 average. It spikes to 200-210 when in traffic for long periods of time. Then the fan turns on and I watch the temps go down. It's actually a good time if you're sitting in traffic.

the funny thing is that even though 180-210 is Safe operating temperature...My car is so different when it's 60F outside and the engine is a constant 180-185, it makes a huge difference.

It's fine, leave it, your car runs better when it's cold, because air is denser when its colder (natural boost). It has nothing to do with engine temp, 210 is normal, the thermostat opens at 180 degrees. The sensor isn't in the thermostat though, so when your stat is at 180 the sensor is at 210, so it shouldn't be at 210 very long (because at that point your t-stat is opening)

Exactly the same here. Although I've only heard the fan come on 2-3 times in the last year.
