GMPP intake filter swap...

i wanted to see if anybody had put another filter in the place of the paper one that comes w/the GMPP intake, maybe a AEM dry-flow...anybody, part #'s would be nice if available or just tell me the dimensions of the filter,i know i have a K&N filter i got to fit, but the top of it keeps hitting the bottom of my hood, i has anybody found a good replacement that wont hit the hood
