Red face Stock 2 shorty antenna!

Is it me or is it a bitch to take of the stock antenna and replace it with the new...im having a hard time doing it...mine is a bitch to take off...my g/f took it off lats yr cause i went through a automatic car wash and now i guess she tighten that sucker really hard and now its a bitch to take off...any advice...i feel so stupid hahahaha

It's probably not that she tightened it to hard but if that is the case and you can't get it off (sad, sad, sad) haha It is probably rusted on there and you will end up breaking the bolt. That happened with mine and I had to puchase a new antenna bracket for the inside of the trunk ($19 CAD) to install my shorty Z06 antenna.

you can use just a crescent wrench whats so hard about it. then screw on the new one. hmm you got me with that q.

i think i did that today i tried twisting it and somethign snapped and then it was all crooked

ive been having a bad car day today... i think ill just stay away from it for awhile

Mid 06's and 07's have a 7mm thread 05-mid 06 have 6mm thread. Do you have the right antenna? See how to and cut OEM antenna.

If your shorty doesn't fit try this https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/make-shorty-antenna-67163/ Just leave it on the car have someone hold the top and (use bolt cutters) cut, cap, done.
