you should have put the LED's in the light with the reverse light in it too. that woulda been sweet.

Looks a little too dark for my liking when lit up compared to the factory setup.

They look like the same "euro" style taillights you can get on the net, but with LEDs installed. Pretty good idea. I know non-led version can be had for about $100 on ebay, so including leds for another $44 sounds like a good deal.

They look pretty good. I will agree that I think the trunk lights would be pretty cool with LED's in them as well. I'd like to see all four light up when you brake, like the outer red section of the inner lights should light with the regular taillights. Did I confuse anyone with that? lol

yea thats was i thinking. it looks like someone tried to take one of my taillight covers off cuz its really loose if i pull on it a little like the glue strip was almost pulled off

There is no bulb in the middle. The photo of the light lit up with the LED's in a circle, is the exact light output.

WOW , aftermarket taillights that actually look great . I didnt think that was even possible . Somebody got a clue :D If these were around b4 I converted my stock tails to LED's I would buy these .

I just got mine today & they are scratched all to hell! Whoever packaged them must not have been too careful. Also one of the light covers wasnt glued on properly so the cover just falls off. Looks like ill be returning them instead of installing them. Its too bad, Theyre really nice lights too, better than expected. But I guess no one inspected them before they shipped them. I just called today & Im getting a new set once the scratched ones are returned.

I just tried installing mine today & this is what happened.. the the taillights went in fine but the reverse lights won't stay in place because there is no thread on them for the bolts to fit back in place... how are they supposed to stay put? Im confused as hell....

Hmm, nope, tried that, its a plastic bolt, check the picture. it wont work like that.

depending on how strong the platic is on the light casing it self, and if the nut is close to the same size and the (plastic non threaded bolt), you should be able to make your own threards by carfully bolting it onto the bolt.... only thing i would recommend is to contact modern and if you try and break it, will you get a replacement, is so go ahead and try that. if not just return it back to modern

I just tried to thread the right side & the plastic broke exactly how you said it would. it wasnt strong enough. this sux! The left reverse light was fine though, just not the right... hopefully I can get a new set(again). this will be my second set I had problems with...

The nuts thread themselves onto the stud.

If you look at the factory ones, look at how crude the threads are. They were also cut by the nut when they were threaded on.

4 piece, im pretty sure you have to get smoked... maybe you could modify your factory lenses and the aftermarket housing... Shouldnt be too hard

Just got these installed, I do have a question though. It seems like the resistance in the LEDs isn't near what the resistance was in the stock bulb, so the turn signal blinks quickly as if I have a bulb out. Is this normal with these lights?

Same thing with mine. Just need to get some resistors in there, I still need to do it.

has anyone figured out what load resistor is needed to make the speed drop on the turn signal and also which wire to put it on. From my experiences with this style tail light you have to build a whole relay set up becaue of how the turn signal and brake light are activated

If that's the case, and a whole relay does have to be built, can it just be left as is? Will it affect anything negatively?

no it will not affect anything negatively, leds just have a lower resistance. Im just not sure, I ll have to do more research into our wiring and figuring it out, Im just going by what I had to do to use euro lights on my focus which had a similar lamp setup

i was told from someone that its because leds use less power to give the same amount of light so the harness thinks its going out. someone correct me if thats wrong.

LEDs have a lower resistance than the stock bulb. Lower resistance=faster blinking. It can be fixed with a relay, but I don't know how.

hmmm, these lights don't sound like all that great of engineering went into it. Badly designed wiring circuits, bad threading (Just because the factory does it, doesn't mean you have to).

just search ebay for load resistors. pretty simple. then attach it to the ground and whatever wire it is for the turn signal and brake.

i think this is what your lookin for and the have resistors built in so you dont get the fast blinking thing. i have a set and the work and look great.. they look just like stock lights but have leds in em..

no sorry.. the last time i tried to take pics of em it came out a red blurr. they to bright to take pics of with a phone. they are really bright though and work extremely well..

no they are sealed of good. i havent had any problems out of em yet. i've had em for bout 2 months now..

they dont come with the reverse lights but these look identical to the stock tail lights so they match up perfectly and they dont come in smoke. you'd have to smoke em yourself if thats what you wanted.

man i hope this person has them after 4/18 cuz thats when i am getting my drop installed and i can pick them up after that
