Head question

Ok guys this may sound like a stupid question but to me its got me thinking. Ok well on most small block v8's you can interchange heads, for example you can put 350 heads on a 305. Hondas you can put a b18 head on a b16. My question is can we put a 2.2 head on a 2.0. The reason im asking is because i can find a 2.2 head at a junk yard for cheap and i want to build the head up such as port and polishing it, valve job and etc.

based on doing no research, i would say yes. because our motor is just a destroked 2.2L. But the 2.4L is a compleatly differerant motor so no on it(I know you didn't ask, but someone might.)

Plz feel free to correct me if i am wrong....

aight thats good to know. can anybody confirm that the 2.2 head will fit on the 2.0??? i can purchase a 2.2 head for $150 cheaper and probaly still be able to get the same flow out of it as the 2.0 head(after all the work is done).

Well I know that head gaskets aren't even interchangeable. Just from that there might be diffrences that wont allow you to use the 2.2 head.
