NON carbon fiber hood...

Can someone direct me to where i can find a non carbon fiber hood with scoops for the cobalt?
I looked on cobalt addiction and i just saw one that was not carbon fiber and i didnt like it...

You could always paint the CF. Then you would have the hood you want + a lightweight hood.

I'd assume that if it was preped just like any other body panel, then you wouldn't be able to tell a difference. I'm thinking about doing the same since i dont like CF on black cars.

it is the same as any other hood painted, the carbon fiber makes no difference

In terms of durability would fiberglass or carbon fiber be better?

You can paint CF just like fiberglass it's got a smooth finish it just needs to be prepped just like anything else!

They are about the same depending on how well the hood was made, I personally would go with the CF hood

Unless your keen on racing, just go with the FG and get it color matched to your paint. No need to spend the extra money for CF if all your going to do is paint it, unless, like I said, you're trying to drop all the weight you can.

dont really care about the weight just a hood is not going to make a notable difference...

so if i get fiberglass and say a rock flies up and hits the hood is the whole thing going to shatter?
