Cooling mods

I see that all the hype on the SS/SC about the cooling mods and heat exchangers, would it be worth it or even possible to get a cooling mod on the 2.4?

unless you have a turbo or a supercharger then no.. are intake temps would be sky high w/o any sort of cooling mods...

what he means to say is aside from a cold air intake our air intake isn't going to get much colder w/o some sort of refrigorant (sp) involved.

cro02, meth, or nitrous for you guys.

you arent compressing the air and creating heat before it enters the engine, so ambient air cooling mods will obviously cause no change.

Nitrous is nice, but also nitrous runs out. Plus detonation, thats what worries me most about nitrous. I have not personally considered nitrous because im too afraid of blowing something. N/A or FI for me.

i believe you 2.4's are supported by hpt so why not do it right and have the fan turned on that way. i suppose you could put a HE on your car but idk what the benefits are really gonna be for you.

You can only lower the temp they come on at by so much. Letting the fan run while the car's not running is ideal.

If I had a 2.4 I would use Royal Purple Ice in my coolant. Mix 60/40 60% water 40% coolant with one bottle of Royal Purple Ice. After that I would also add a switch to keep your fan on whenever you want it on. It won't do as much for you as a turbo or supercharged car but it will help a little.

its even better if you do the wiring mod, just the fans helps...but fans AND running the IC pump is golden for track days.
