I bought this book over the weekend about how to use HPTuners to tune your engine. Anyways in the back of this book there's a "project cars" section and it has a 1.8 VW Golf (I think) which is supercharged AND turbocharged. Looks fairly simple to do. Hmmmmmm I might have to look into this. Any thoughts?
its called twincharging....its common for hot rodders, and is usually more for show than performance. Its really usually a bitch to plumb it all, especially when a larger s/c or larger t/c would get you the same power levels....it does have the strong points of getting the best part of both f/i method's power curves
Good luck?
This has been done by a few people on this board. Donna's car is twincharged, but I don't know if they ever got it running correctly. I have asked a couple of times how it was running and if it ever got tuned or dyno'd but never got a response.
Here is an old vid of a twincharged Redline:

Cheers.

Also maybe search for the Procharger Swap thread.

The LNF has a twinscroll turbo that gives the engine more low/mid power than the stock Eaton does. To me it makes the idea of a twin-charged eingine kind of moot.
But it doesn't have the cool S/C whine!
