Unhappy Is this a timeing Belt issue?

i notice it yesterday when i was driving home from work...dat i hear a squaky noise when i drive and its weird cause when i break..the noise stops..and when i let off the break i hear it again. But this only happens sometimes...it goes away and then it will come back...Could it be the timeing belt...i think it might be da rotors...<--they are rusty.. could it be the lowering springs?...my buddy said it could be brake dust?..im not sure has this happen to anybody and if it has can u give some advice or information thanks

We don't have a timing belt, it's a chain.

Probably not serpantine belt because that wouldn't go away, you'd always hear it.

Not rotors or pads because those would squeak, not go away, when you applied the brakes. Ditto with brake dust. It's nothing brake related.

You have a bird stuck in your intake....JK Check the CV joints, when you apply the brakes it seems to go away because the load on the front end changes. I would guess it to be something with the drive train. But that is just a noob guess. My GF car has this humming noise that sounds like a bad muffler, but it is actually the CV joints. Thats why i am suggesting that. May not be it but maybe something very close to them.

I'd say that's a pretty sound guess. I'm thinking it's in the drivetrain somewhere for sure, because that's typically the only place you'll get a noise that goes away when braking.
