Exhaust questions

Thanks in advance for your input gentlemen, I always appreciate it. I have a few questions..... This winter I want to put a full exhaust on, Is the GMPP Catback just as good as most aftermarket ones? (I was thinkin about a DC catback)any other suggestions? Also what size downpipe would you reccomend? One last question.... I want to get the GMPP honed manifold but.... what are some good headers in your opinions? Thanks guys for the help. I put alot of stock into your opinions!

the GMPP catback has a 1/4 inch size difference in piping so you may get more gains getting a 2.5 inch aftermarket exhaust, supposably the GMPP has a gain of 12-15whp, i didn't feel a thing though even with the honed manifold. I don't see a point in getting a 3" downpipe since most exhausts are 2.5', so i'd recommend a 2.5' downpipe. the GMPP manifold is a joke, i felt no gains with that either.

first i just want to say that there are a million and a half threads about exhausts but im not one to flame or give someone a problem... the gmpp is 1/4in smaller than a 2.5in with almost all the companys make problem..its a good mod for a almost stock car a 2.5in will still show some more gains tho..if your planning on doing alot of mods the gmpp will become restrictive and youll find yourself buying a 2.5 or bigger so i would go with a 2.5 or bigger if i was you.....i myself bought the hahn 3in catback and will be putting on 2.5in zzp headers/downpipe combo soon seems to be the best for the right price 2! stock the 3in takes bottom end away its true but once i got a CAI and my stage 2 it came to life! and you cant beat the deeper tone a 3in gives i love it...if you end up going hahn PLEASE DO NOT buy the entire exhaust it is a complete rip off for the headers/downpipe they are wayyyyy expensive not worth it but the catback is great for other mods

Why did you waste your money on those shitty mods in the first place?

DO NOT get a honed manifold or the GMPP exhaust. Both waste's if you want the best performance for your buck.

Best catback would be a custom 2.5" which can be had for 150-200 dollars
Best bang of the buck header is ZZP's 1 3/4th Painted Mid length header and DP combo
