Clearcoat for Nightshades?
If you dont use the clear coat from what ive seen your lights will be shiny...I too didnt use a clear coat and they are shiny as all get out... but i guess its all dependant on how you decide to nightshade them... wheather you sand them or not,...
Yea if you wet sand them you need clear coat to make it look nice and shiny but i found it to be easier to just pray it on and make the last coat kind of heavy and it turns out nice and shiny without clear
Yeah mine ended up being very dull. Then the clear coat I used ended up not being the right kind. Never done much painting before this. I eventually got the right stuff and ended up clear coating them nicely. Now they look very nice, soon as I get a power cord for my camera I will end up taking some shots of the car.
i used that wal-mart krylon clearcoat...BIG mistake...they are chipped, completely scratched and dull, and now i need to find a way to safelt get the nightshades off so i can do it RIGHT next time.
You can use laquer thinner or even gas to take it off, the lights are made of ABS plastic and wont melt/fade/dull just make sure you dont leave it on there for a stupid amount of time
Here are my lights:

These are w/ just my running lights on:

I just pored it on there and then use a towel that you dont really need to take it off w/, it comes off and then looks like stock again lol
