i found one of these electrical places, it turned out well

i made 1 cirtical error in that photo though and that was the pole right behind the car, without that pole that pic would have been awesome
using leading lines (meaning like some sort of object making a line(such as the yellow lines on a road) twords your car, making it the main focus)
having a natural border surrounding the car always looks nice sort of like this

the 3/4 rule can enhance an image, meaning to leave 1/4 of the image, in the direction the car is headed empty

Top of parking garages with something cool in the background works.

All of those pics are of my car and taken by me. Let me know if u need nething else. I will try to help!
Also invest in a tripod if you dont have one. They are a MUST!!

Megapixels are not everything. Some of the best pictures have been taken with really low MP cameras. Higher MP does not mean it is a better camera, its whats on the inside that counts and good lenses make a huge difference!! If you buy a camera dont just buy the one with a highest MP, make sure to research your options!
If you want a D-SLR be ready to spend a good 1000$ on a decent camera and supplies.
MP=Megapixles if someone didnt understand!

No problem! I know we have a few people on the forum here who will be much more helpfull than me but if you have any questions just shoot me a PM and I will try to help, if I cant answer your question, I will send you to some one who can!
oh and take your camera with you anytime you get a chance and lots of batteries cuz the moment you don't have it thats when you'll find the perfect picture spot and you won't have anything to take the picture with
Most helpful hint I got from my neighbor who's a pro photographer, was that auto-flash is bull, so no matter when your shooting, turn the flash on manually.
Locally, I'd suggest taking the car to...
-Medowbrook Mansion; the front circle drive has alot of good places to shoot if you can get the right light, and in the back by the coble stone courtyard is a good place too.
-Cranbrook School in bloomfield; Dont know if youve been there, but that campus is a photographers dream. The buildings have a real cool and unique look to em, so post the car up infront of em and youd have a nice shot.
-Downtown Royal Oak; Good for the Urban shots, theyve got a few good parking stuctures with some good views and w/e and you can find some low traffic roads with overpasses and walls w/ alot of graffiti which looks sweet imo.
I want to find some industrial places to shoot. Ill be getting the Cannon d30 this year for christmas, so ive been asking around kindof for places/tips so when the camera comes ill be ready... right now all i've got is my phone to take pics.
