I've got a 3" cat-back with no muffler/resonators on my LNF, all be it on a Solstice GXP. This engine freakin rocks. You can expect some nice gains from going to 3" tubing. The removal of the exhaust doesn't help as much as moving to 3" the engine is much more flow limited right at the turbo then it is at the outlet side.

YouTube video of the exhaust.

Here's my before and after dyno comparison chart. I gained 16 HP peak and 5 ft-lbs peak at the rear wheels from the exhaust alone. However if you notice I gained about 25 HP and 25 ft-lbs after the peak.

Man, I wish I could pick one of these up when they hit, but I think I'll end up waiting 6 or 12 months.

so let me get this straight... you're going to keep an exhaust you don't want around for a good year at least, just in case you or someone else wants a 3" exhaust that's readily available? are you already planning mods for a car that you don't have, nor is in production, or are you thinking about selling mods for a car that no one has, nor is in production?

Neither.

He wants to jerk off inside the turbocharger for 30 more horsepower.

The power of satan compels you!

Its just excitement right now. Although I do have to say I am debating on whether or not to quit spending money on this one to save for that one, assuming it kicks ass much ass as they say it will.

All in all, I think I will most likely end up continuing to spend money on this one (SS/SC).

I do think this section of the site will die down for a few months here before long.

Anyone else notice the power numbers? Do you have an auto or manual?

Manual Solstice GXP. Remember this is a RWD application of the engine so power loss to the wheels will be larger than the FWD version. The stock LNF will dyno anywhere between 215hp~235hp to the rear wheels on a manual Solstices depending on dyno and environmental characteristics at the time.

My stock 224 to the rear wheels is a 14% loss which is a very low loss value for a RWD car.

Even using a traditional RWD drivetrain manual loss of 15% you're only making 275 horsepower at the crank. That's pretty shitty

That is 15HP over GM's stock rating w/ just exhaust, how is that shitty...

Dodge's 2.4L In the SRT4 is putting down 271whp bone stock and is not even using DI. That's why it's shitty.

That's technically not stock though, that's a SRT-4 engine with Stage kits. If you want to do an apples-to-apples comparison look at the stock SRT-4 which makes what 230 HP on a 2.4L engine and requires 91+ octane? The LNF makes 260 HP with 2.0L using 87 octane. That's a win in my book. Throw on the same type of upgrades the Stage 3 kit of an SRT-4 adds on and you're talking some mad power on just a 2.0L engine.

I quoted numbers from the SRT4 Caliber not the Neon SRT4
